Refunds
Last updated 9 August 2026
Ask within seven days of a charge, before you have used half the checks in your plan, and we refund it. No form, no reason needed, no retention offer. Past either line we will still read your email — we just cannot promise the money back, because the checks we already ran cost real money to run.
The rule
Seven days from the charge, and under half your plan's checks. Meet both and the refund is automatic — email support@useclaimcheck.com and we will do it. You do not need to explain yourself, and nobody will try to talk you out of it.
Half a plan, in practice:
| Plan | Checks a month | Refundable up to |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | 60 | 30 checks used |
| Writer | 200 | 100 checks used |
| Pro | 1,000 | 500 checks used |
Why there is a usage limit at all
Most software costs nothing to hand out a second time, so most refund policies can afford to ignore how much you used. This one cannot. Every check spends real money — web searches and model time, bought from other companies at the moment you press the button. Those are gone whether or not the charge is later reversed.
So the honest version of a money-back guarantee here is: try it, and if it is not for you, take your money back. Not: run a month of work through it and then take your money back. We would rather write that down than write “no questions asked” and then start asking questions.
The free plan exists for exactly this reason. A check a day plus five for signing up, no card, no time limit — that is the trial, and it costs you nothing to find out whether the verdicts are any good.
If we ever bill you yearly
Every plan is billed monthly today; there is no annual option to buy. If we add one, whole unused months come back at any time, not only in the first seven days — pay for a year, stop after four months, and the remaining eight are refunded.
That is arithmetic rather than generosity: a month you never used cost us nothing to provide, so there is nothing for us to lose by returning it.
Outside the window
Email us anyway. If the service did something wrong — it was down when you needed it, you were charged twice, a plan change did not apply — that is our mistake and we will fix it regardless of the seven days. The window is there to stop the plan being consumed and then unpaid for, not to hide behind.
Please write to us before asking your bank to reverse a charge. A chargeback takes weeks, costs us a penalty on top of the refund, and gets you your money no faster than an email does.
How it happens
Paddle is our merchant of record, so they took the payment and they issue the refund. Once we approve it, the money goes back to the card or account you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank. You will get a confirmation from Paddle, not from us.
Cancelling and refunding are different things. You can cancel any time and keep access to the end of the period you already paid for; a refund ends the subscription immediately.
The full Terms cover the rest of the billing relationship, and the Privacy page covers what we do with your drafts.
